What happens during my session
Curious about what a hyperbaric oxygen therapy session entails? We’ve broken down the steps below and if you have any other questions then do sing out!

If this is your first visit we will go through your intake form and cover the housekeeping
Prepare to enter the chamber
Use the toilet facilities
Remove jewellery, scarves, belts, sharp hair clips
Place in the blue basket
Remove your shoes
Pop on extra socks if your circulation isn’t the best
Decide if would like to be seated or lying down and we’ll adjust things, you can change it up during the session if you need to
Be assisted into the chamber and close up

Pop the oxygen cannula on
Test the walkie-talkie
Get comfortable
Pressurisation takes about 10 minutes
Remember to swallow as you would in an airplane

Relax & enjoy HBOT for your session
Pop on some tunes, shut your eyes, meditate or catch up on some reels
We’ll check in on you periodically visually and via walkie-talkie

Depressurisation begins
Remember to pop your ears
Oxygen will continue to flow
Wiggle your toes and have a wee stretch
You have 10-15 minutes to prepare

Remove cannula
Check for belongings
Hand them to the technician
Slowly stand and exit the chamber - with assistance
Take a few moments to stretch and pop your shoes on
Then a few minutes to rest with a complimentary glass of water/cup of herbal tea
